Tree Removal Permits & Tree City USA
Tree Removal Permits

Many trees in the City of Dunedin cannot be removed without first obtaining a Tree Removal Permit for $25. This application will be forwarded to our Parks Division to be reviewed by the City Arborist and you will receive notification of approval/denial. The following trees may be removed from private property without a permit.

Learn About Tree Removal Permits

Dunedin has received the "Tree City USA" award every year since 1989

The City of Dunedin takes pride in preserving green space for our residents and visitors by maintaining over 225 acres of land dedicated to public use for hiking, biking, playing and picnicking. This outdoor environment greatly enhances the quality of life in Dunedin for residence and visitors of all ages. The City has achieved the award from its commitment to improve the city’s tree canopy, by our tree maintenance, tree plantings and Arbor Day celebration each year.

Scoop the Poop

Be a responsible pet owner and help keep our parks clean and safe by picking up your pet's waste. Every day, 125 tons of pet waste is deposited on the grounds in the Tampa Bay Area. This waste can wash into nearby ponds, creeks and lakes, and that waste can cause damage to nearby bodies of water, affecting the plant and animal life that inhabit them.
