Interlibrary Loan

Materials not owned by the Dunedin Public Library may often be borrowed from other libraries across the state or across the country and shipped here for our patrons to use, free of charge.

Any patron, aged 16 years or older, with a valid Pinellas Public Library Cooperative card in good standing may request an interlibrary loan at the Reference Desk. The title and author of the book are necessary in order to conduct an interlibrary loan search. Copies of magazine articles can also frequently be requested, but not an entire issue of a magazine or journal. Audiovisual materials such as videos, DVDs, cassettes, and CDs are not available through interlibrary loan.

Shipping time, loan periods, and availability vary according to the lending library. Please check with the Reference staff for specific details.

If you have a question regarding interlibrary loan, please send an email to the Library.

Seed Library

Our seed library is available to anyone with a valid PPLC library card. Our seeds are located opposite the front desk in an old card catalog for you to browse. Choose from one of our many categories of seeds, you can check out up to 5 packets per month. Seeds are checked out like any other material, just head to the front desk with your picks. There are no due dates, returns, or fines; if you have extra seeds, share them with friends and neighbors!

All our seeds are donated to us from our local and community partner organizations. Since each seed packet contains up to 100 seeds, we dispense them into multiple packets so everyone can have a chance to find seeds they're looking for. We encourage our gardeners to share the seeds with their friends and neighbors and to tell them about the seed library!

Different seeds are available throughout the year and are in a continuous supply. As we receive them from our partners, we process them into packets and update the seed library weekly! Check back with the seed library frequently to see what's new and available!

We want to thank our very special community partners for their generous donations and their gardening expertise!
