Boat America Safe Boating Course
This course includes an introduction to boating, safe operation, rules, aides to navigation (ATON), State & Federal laws, safety equipment, emergencies on the water, handling your vessel, and much more. Participants will receive a FWC Safe Boating ID Card upon successful completion of the course. Instructed by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
- Saturday & Sunday: Aug. 10-11, Sept. 14-15, Oct. 12-13, Nov. 9-10, Dec. 14-15.

Intro to Basic Coastal Navigation
This course includes plotting a course, determining a position on a nautical chart, understanding latitude and longitude coordinates, understanding the compass (convert a true course to a steering compass course), use of a nautical chart to find time, distance, and speed of the course you are planning. Includes the rolling ruler and dividers. Instructed by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
