Drop off your new and gently-used books, and our volunteers will help you!

Small donations are accepted at the drop boxes in the Library lobby. Large donations are accepted at the staff delivery entrance on Mondays and Fridays between 9:30 am - 4:00 pm. Limit three boxes.

Thank you for donating to our library. Donations are accepted provided they are given without restrictions or obligations. Materials are evaluated and may be placed in the collection or given to the Friends of the Library.

We welcome donations of:

• Fiction and Nonfiction (Adult & Youth)
• Current Best Sellers and Magazines
• DVD, Music, and Books on CDs
• Jigsaw Puzzles

Due to lack of space, we cannot accept:

• VHS
• Encyclopedias or Travel Guides older than 5 years
• Medical or Computer Books older than 3 years

We appreciate donations in good condition with no loose or yellowed pages, markings or underlining, mold, water, or insect damage.

For items we cannot accept, we recommend Goodwill, Salvation Army, Sheriff's Youth Ranch, or other local churches/charities.

The Library and Friends cannot appraise gifts for tax or inheritance purposes; however a form can be provided to the donor stating the approximate number of items and the date they were donated. 

Donations of any amount may be used to purchase a book in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special person. Each book purchased with your donation will include an individualized memorial plate with an inscription of your choosing. At your request, items may be purchased on specific topics or areas of interest.

Become a member of the Friends of the Library. Membership forms are available in the Library at the front desk. Friends memberships are:

• Annual individual, $15
• Annual family, $25
• Life individual, $125
• Life family, $175
• Specialty memberships for businesses ($50 per year), and non-profit organizations ($150 for life) are also available.

All contributions to the Foundation are used to fund an endowment. The funds will be invested, and the income they produce will be used exclusively to benefit the Library and ensure its future for generations to come.

Your contribution to the Foundation can be given as a tribute to friend or family member, in honor of an accomplishment or a happy occasion. Your name or the name of the honored person(s) will be placed on the Foundation plaque located in the front lobby. If preferred, your gift can be listed anonymously.

An announcement of your gift will be sent to the person(s) that you designate, informing them of the support of the Library Foundation. Your gift amount will not be disclosed. Contributions starting at $1000 and up are welcome.
