Special Services at the Library

Published on October 01, 2023

The Dunedin Public Library offers various services for you and your family. From homebound delivery to wifi hotspots, we've got something for everyone.

Homebound Delivery

The Dunedin Public Library's Homebound Delivery program is for Dunedin Residents who are confined to their residence due to health and/or physical mobility issues. Lack of transportation can also qualify, but health and/or physical issues will receive priority. Deliveries can be ongoing or temporary, or even part-time for seasonal residents.

Participants receive deliveries one Wednesday morning per month. Participants are limited to the collection of the Dunedin Public Library. Material types available are:

  • Regular print
  • Large print
  • Audio-books
  • Paperbacks

Special Items

Did you know you can check out more than just books with your library card? The most recent addition to our special items collection is birding backpacks. Each backpack includes two pairs of binoculars, books, resources, and guides to help identify Florida wildlife. Backpacks can be checked out for two weeks and must be returned to the library.

The library offers other special items as well. Visit a local museum through the museum passes program (year-round), or virtually visit the Kellogg Mansion Immersive Experience (until June 28). You can also check out one of our 20 mobile wi-fi hotspots for up to two weeks. You can even jam out with our Ukulele kits! There's so much at the library to borrow and explore!

Traveling overseas? The Library is now a passport acceptance facility and will accept and process your new passport applications! You can make an appointment online today!
