Dunedin Golf Club & Course Restoration Project

Designed by world-renowned golf course architect Donald Ross, the club opened January 1, 1927. From 1945 through 1962, Dunedin Golf Club was the home of the PGA of America, during that time the Dunedin Golf Club hosted 18 Senior Tour Championships, and this was the beginning of the Senior PGA Tour.

The Dunedin Golf Club property is owned by the City of Dunedin and has had an agreement with Dunedin Country Club Inc. (a non-profit organization) for many years to operate and manage the club. The most recent agreement was renewed in May 2023 to extend the partnership through the end of February 2024 at which time, the City will assume the management of the Dunedin Golf Club.

In 2021, the City conducted a sustainability study on the Dunedin Golf Club. The City is now looking to make improvements and renovations for the golf club operations to be sustainable and in the style characteristics of a Donald Ross course.

Stirling Park Improvement

The City of Dunedin purchased St. Andrew's Links Golf Course in 2003 under the agreement to continue operating as a golf course or preserve the site for public recreation or open space. The City operated Dunedin Stirling Links Golf Course until 2010, and until 2020 under a license agreement with Billy Casper Golf. In 2019 Parks & Recreation Staff, the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee, and the City Commission were in agreement to convert the area to a public park. It operated as a golf course until March 31, 2020 to be converted into Stirling Park.

Currently, Stirling Park is 24 acres, comprised of two properties along Palm Blvd. and Bayshore Blvd. split by Curlew Creek.
