The mission of the Dunedin Community Garden Association is to enhance the quality of life and strengthen community bonds by creating and sustaining an organic garden that will foster environmental stewardship, horticultural education, and improved health.
Many of us wish we could grow our own vegetables but may not have a place to grow or the know-how. The Dunedin Community Garden Association (DCGA) is devoted to providing a place where individuals and families can successfully grow fresh, healthy produce and to socialize with other gardeners. The garden is run by a group of dedicated community members that love to garden.
How you can participate:
Come hang out with us, learn about gardening and help keep the community strong. This is perfect for anyone who wants to be a part of the community and not maintain a garden plot. A supporting member can join in on education, and other community garden events. $25 Minimum Become a Supporting Member.
MembersGarden member gets their own garden plot and enjoy creating and growing organic vegetables and such, as well as growing community. Share your plot with family and friends.
Required to follow organic gardening principles and will not be allowed to use any pesticides or herbicides. Encouraged to donate excess produce to the local food bank or their neighbors. Expected to contribute volunteer hours to overall garden improvement.
$25 Annually plus a $25, one-time, refundable deposit.
Donations at these levels will result in being recognized by DCGA in the yet-to-be-built Donor Board which will be located in the garden. You may also make a donation in honor of someone special; in memory; in celebration or anonymously.
