Beginning on April 8, 2020, the Planning & Development Department will be officially changed to the Community Development Department.



The Planning & Development Department is composed of four Divisions:

     •  Building
     •  Code Enforcement
     •  Planning
     •  Zoning

The Planning & Development Department is responsible for the Comprehensive Plan management, administration of Dunedin's Land Development Code to include planning, zoning and development of the City's land parcels, enforcement and administration of the Florida Building Code, enforcement and administration of the City’s Property Maintenance Code (code enforcement), and the implementation of Dunedin's 2025 Visioning Plan.
