2020 Teen Leadership Program
Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Teen Leadership Program has been postponed, with the potential to hold a revised program later in the summer. Once the program resumes, teen leaders will work with adult mentors during our summer camp programs and gain a valuable experience while learning leadership skills.

Goals of the program:

  • Prepare teens in our community for future leadership roles
  • Create a sense of motivation
  • Teach invaluable skills and grow as responsible young adults
  • Take on future roles within Parks & Recreation Departments

Teens will gain experience in:

  • Leadership & team building training
  • Communication skills
  • Preparing for the work force
  • Gain individualized training and hands-on experience
  • Earn community service hours for scholarships/clubs

Who Should Apply? 

  • Teens who are age 13 (as of January 1, 2020) - 16 years (as of August 7, 2020)
  • Teens that can commit to training sessions and 6 weeks of summer
  • Teens with a positive attitude and who are eager to be a role model
  • Please note: applications are not being accepted at this time
