Johan de Meij’s first symphony “The Lord of the Rings” is based on the trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien and has fascinated millions since 1955.The symphony consists of five separate movements, each illustrating personage and characters or an episode from the book (note: this is original music unrelated to Peter Jackson’s movies with New Line Cinema and music by Howard Shore.) Presented by Dunedin Parks & Recreation and Dunedin Music Society.

Roads will be closed for children to safely trick or treat along Main St. and Broadway Ave. Participating merchants will display a pumpkin in their window. Meet at the Dunedin History Museum for the costume parade at 5:45 pm and parade to Pioneer Park for awards at 6:30 pm. Cap the night off with a family-friendly Film in the Park.   • Holiday Boat Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony

Ring in the holidays during this traditional waterfront celebration as decorated boats parade through the Marina. This is the North Pole calling with a direct line and LIVE personal call to your child from Santa’s Workshop.   • Old Fashioned Christmas & Holiday Parade

Have a Holly Jolly afternoon when the Herald Angels Pat-A-Pan of Kings and Christmas, all Joyful and Triumphant in the light of the Eighth Candle while tinkling their New Age Christmas Jingle Bells! Lots of Holiday favorites at this celebratory time of year. How can you NOT bring someone with you to share in the joy?! Includes familiar tunes such as Joyful and Triumphant, Pat-A-Pan, Of Kings and Christmas, Noel, The Eighth Candle. And of course, that ever-imaginative cross-cultural classic: Santa Loves to Cha Cha!
