2020 Summer Camps
Summer is quickly approaching and when it gets here, the Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department will be ready! Staff has been actively working on summer camp preparation, in conjunction with local health authorities, receiving guidance on best practices and implementation of appropriate safety measures. Some factors that have been considered include group ratios, COVID symptom screening, increased sanitization, safe drop-off and pick-up procedures and alternative programming for activities that encourage social distancing.

Our first priority is always to provide safe programs, and we will therefore, align our operations with these recommendations. Camp dates will remain the same, with the first week beginning June 1st. Select camps will be offered, focusing on our more traditional camps while unfortunately cancelling specialty camps. Parks & Recreation will be able to serve 126 children weekly.

Staff is currently reaching out to families already registered to verify attendance and confirm an accurate number of available spots. If there are any remaining spots available, camp registration will resume online only on Friday, May 8th and continue until camps are full. Those needing to create or confirm their online account information should call the Community Center at 727-812-4530.

While this summer will look a little different, staff very much looks forward to providing campers the opportunity to reconnect and make awesome summer memories!
