At the June 20 City Commission meeting, Commission approved phase II of the new City Hall Complex, which includes design and architectural services.

At the May 14 City Commission workshop, Commission approved building the new City Hall Complex on 737 Louden Avenue, which is the existing site of the Technical Services and Municipal Services Building. The 1.7 acre site will allow for City Hall to be built in a campus-like setting with a corresponding vertical parking structure located across the street on the former First Baptist Church property now referred to as 500 Wood Street. The parking built for City Hall will also be available to the public after 5pm and on weekends corresponding with peak downtown times. The next steps for the new City Hall Complex will now focus on preparing architecture plans.
