  • Have you ever seen a Pinellas King Snake?
  • Do you know about the "drama queen" of the serpant world, a snake that plays dead better than any Shakespeare actor?
  • Do you know what the longest snake native to the USA is? (hint...It can grow up to 7-feet long)
  • What snake has been praised since 1675 for controlling the rat and mice population?

Ease your trepidation and learn more about these rarely-seen denizens. See all of these serpents LIVE at the Friends of the Hammock Annual Meeting. Join ranger Kimberly Calhoun from St. Petersburg Boyd Hill Nature Preserve as she presents a program on reptiles with an emphasis on snakes. Refreshments will be served after the program.
