*Effective March 31, 2020 Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) issued guidance for employers complying with their drug and alcohol testing obligations during the Coronavirus Pandemic. The guidance will be in effect through June 30; Drug Screens and Physicals will be conducted at a later date; successful completion of such tests are a condition of continued employment with the City if the screens occur after the candidate’s start date. Individuals in a safety-sensitive position are not allowed to start employment until he or she has tested negative in a pre-employment testing; therefore, the City will work with our Third Party Administrator to schedule testing before a final job offer is given.
