As the City's workforce is predominantly (76%) retail and service oriented there has been a direction with the approved Economic Development Master Plan to look at ways to attract higher paying jobs in the City. To help fill this need the City of Dunedin signed an Agreement with the Florida Business Incubator in October 2016.

City of Dunedin/Florida Business Incubator Agreement

The non-profit Florida Business Incubator has been running a successful entrepreneurial program in Clearwater (formerly known as TAFFIE) that has fostered companies that have grown and now employ dozens of higher paying positions.  The Florida Business Incubator will promote Dunedin as a welcoming place for business incubators and start-ups.

Launch of a Dunedin Entrepreneurs Center in the next few months will escalate participation even further as business owners will have a location to interact with resources and expand their use of one another's services on a regular basis.

For learn more about this program and where local meetings are held, please review the below presentation or contact Danny Craig at 727-298-3197.
