To enhance the quality of life and create memorable experiences by connecting the community through parks, recreation and culture.
Parkland Dedication Ordinance (LDO)
The Land Dedication Ordinance was adopted by the City of Dunedin in 1975 to provide funding for parks to accommodate additional users from residential developments. Over the last six (6) months, Parks & Recreation Department staff has been conducting a thorough analysis of the code to determine if it is providing the necessary funding to accomplish its intended purpose and explore any current difficulties and if necessary, possible solutions. These findings and alternatives were presented to stakeholders including the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee, Hammock Advisory Committee, Friends of the Hammock, CRA Advisory Committee, as well as a public meeting on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
