Parks & Recreation Update
The City of Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department has been working diligently to clean, restore and ensure our parks and recreation centers are safe and open them back for the enjoyment of our community as soon as possible. Residential trash collection, bulk/yard waste collection, and recycling services will take place as regularly scheduled for the remainder of this week; however, please be advised that collections will be suspended on Monday, September 11th, due to the uncertainty of the track and magnitude of Hurricane Irma. Residents are advised to safely put-away all containers and not place large bulky items and yard waste in the City right-of-way until the next collection day following the inclement weather ends.

Welcome to Our New City Manager
The City of Dunedin welcomes our new City Manager, Jennifer K. Bramley who began her new position on Aug. 28, 2017. The public is invited to a meet and greet prior to the City Commission Meeting on Thursday, September 21 (rescheduled from 9/7) at 5 p.m. in the City Hall Chamber. City Manager Bramley will be sworn in during the City Commission following the meet and greet.

Pinellas unveils new hurricane tools
On the first day of the 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season, the county launched the new “Ready Pinellas” mobile app designed to help residents with preparedness and decision-making ahead of storm events. It is available for free download on the Apple Store and Google Play.

Phone Outage
Due to an apparent lightning strike last night at 737 Louden Avenue Building, the phones in both the MSB and Technical Services buildings are experiencing issues. There is no time yet for restoration of services.

Cross Country for ages 5-15 - Registration now open!
Register your child today for Dunedin's Cross Country program - a great way to test your endurance, compete against themselves and other cities, and meet friends. Practices are held Wednesdays, August 9 - October 11, 6-7:00pm at Highlander Park.

Dunedin Marina Fishing Pier Rehabilitation Project
This project will begin construction at the end of July, and is anticipated to be completed by the end of October. Rehabilitation includes the removal and replacement of the existing timber decking, stringers, handrail, bench, lighting, electric line and water line.

Mayor Julie Ward Bujalski joins Mayors for 100% Clean Energy
Mayor Julie Ward Bujalski on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 endorsed a goal of powering the City of Dunedin entirely with clean and renewable energy. The Dunedin City Commission unanimously supported the Mayor’s endorsement. Mayor Bujalski joins a growing coalition of Mayors for 100% Clean Energy who have similarly announced support for a goal of powering their communities with 100 percent renewable energy such as wind and solar.
