What can you do to help?

  • Be an Environmental Advocate
    The City of Dunedin wants to know what you or your group do to protect and conserve Dunedin's environment and natural resources. Environmental Advocates should complete the application below. You might get a chance to share your activity on Dunedin TV. One environmental advocate will be chosen each year on the merits of their activities and will be honored at the City of Dunedin Commission Meeting. Find out how...

  • Participate in Dunedin's Recycling Program.

  • Take Advantage of Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency
    Tax credits are available for energy efficient home improvements including solar panels, energy efficient doors and windows, insulation and HVAC systems that are placed in service between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010. Credits are also available for efficient cars and commercial buildings. Visit the Energy Star website to find out if your home improvement project qualifies.

  • Apply for a Neighborhood Enhancement Grant to make your community greener

  • Look for Products Made from Renewable or Recycled Resources.

  • Use Your Own Bag at the Grocery Store.

  • Help Protect our Natural Resources and Environment.

  • Be Aware that Social, Economic & Environmental Conditions in a Community are Interdependent.

  • Look for Locally Grown Food and Products.

  • Learn more - attend a seminar in the Sustainability Seminar Series
    The Sustainability Seminar Series is a City of Dunedin educational program intended to teach residents how to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Each seminar will provide attendees with real world tips and techniques that can be implemented at home, work, and school to decrease environmental impacts, save money, and increase the quality of life in Dunedin.

    Seminars will be held on Saturdays at the Dunedin Community Center. If there is a topic you would like to see as a part of the series, please email your suggestions by using the "email" link at the right hand side of the page. Remember, the seminars are designed to give YOU the knowledge YOU need to live a better life, so please share your thoughts with us. Call 727-298-3215 x24 or email to sign up.
