CommunitiesTHE CITY OF DUNEDIN'S COMMITTEE ON AGING
The Hale Activity Center has the distinct honor of being home to the City's Committee on Aging. The COA commonly meets on the 1st Thursday of each month, 9:00 am, at the Hale Activity Center. The City of Dunedin's Committee on Aging assists in projecting the needs of Dunedin's aging population and helps promote the development of plans and programs to meet these needs in order to contribute to the quality of aging in Dunedin.

Recognizing that an elder ready community is beneficial to all ages, the committees activities are intergenerational in nature and include: older Americans month annual program, caregiver educational series, essay contest (my favorite older adult) through local schools, senior hall of fame, elder ready community assessment (promotes universal design which benefits all age segments and abilities/disabilities), communities for a lifetime action plan, intergenerational programs, day of sharing, hurricane preparedness seminar, quarterly forums, and monthly meetings.

For information on becoming a part of the COA, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (727) 298-3035 or by email by clicking here.
