    Causeway Utilities Replacement Project

Causeway Utilities Replacement - Replacement of about three miles of potable water and sanitary wastewater pipelines from near the entry to Honeymoon Island State Park to the east side of US Alternate 19, near Curlew Road, is underway. The project is expected to be completed by late October, 2011. The project will require the use of large construction equipment operating in a number of locations along the Causeway. Construction began with the careful relocation of the substantial landscaping in front of the Royal Stewart Arms condominium complex and will progress with two major directional drilling operations in the months of July and August. The City and its contractors will strive to minimize impacts on the use of the Causeway during this time of intense construction. We encourage all residents and visitors to be careful and to adhere to any signs or advice regarding traffic safety and avoidance of the temporary construction sites.
City and contractor staff will continue to strive to minimize interference with area residents and visitors. However, this is a major construction project which can impact roadway and driveway access. Please let us know your needs and opinions either by contacting the City Engineer by email, at TBurke@DunedinFL.net, or by calling the City's construction inspector, Mark Walters at 727-424-3811.
