CITY BUILDINGS CLOSED - Thursday, September 1, 2016 (updated 8/31 at 5:15 p.m.)
Due to heavy rain and hazardous travel conditions from Tropical Storm Hermine, the City of Dunedin will be closing all public buildings on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Essential City of Dunedin staff will continue to service the community as we continue to monitor the weather conditions.
New York Ave between Virginia St and Mease Plaza is closed from Wednesday 8/31 at 8AM until Friday 9/2 at 8AM. Also, The City is offering sandbags to City residents at Highlander Park located on Michigan Blvd near the Dunedin Fine Art Center & Fire Station 61 (follow sandbag signs). Shovels and bags are available onsite for self service.
On September 5, Solid Waste and Recycling service will be suspended. Monday service will occur on Tuesday, Tuesday service will occur on Wednesday. There will be no change for Thursday and Friday customers.
About 70 Dunedin Pipe Band members attended the Glengarry Highland Games, held July 29-30 in Maxville, Ontario. The band won the Grade 2 championship for the first time; they competed against almost every band with the same classification in North America.
